      Artist statement
My body of work goes into human emotion; I create art out of my personal emotions and sensitivity of people’s feeling as a whole. I strongly believe that being intuitive doesn’t mean that one only feels negative emotions but can feel love as much as anger.  From these feelings, I develop patterns and images. I am inspired by daydream illusions about my life and people’s state of mind. On top of that, I also draw repetitively from whatever I see as interesting on the street or out of my bedroom windowpanes. That can be floral, brick, or architectural shapes. The pattern may seem simple but I take it to another level, layer them over each other, and going beyond the flat two dimensional piece of art to a three dimensional art.

 Project statement

 "Me too"
The dew drop-like pattern is altered from of raised hands, which portray unity in term of all agreeing to lying to people whom ask them "How they are doing?". The thin lines stand for the frailness between the saying and the feeling.

 Mood Board
Here, I collect images that relate to my event in term of colors, shapes, and languages but some of them are my actual art work which are the organic circles, the woman in the center, the little people, and some patterns sticking out.

  "You are deceived."
The figure here is the figure that I think was most successful from the figure drawing sessions. The explosion of this underlying structure is a very lime-green thin organic lines which were then cut accordingly to the light shades and the red anatomical mouth that stood out of the whole drawing represents how the expression system is totally different from the processing emotion system. Many people wonder why I didn't take the drawing out of that drawing board and this is because I want to keep the rawness going in the finished piece.
